McNally, 41, originally from County Longford but residing in Flushing, Queens, was assaulted at the Céilí House Bar in Maspeth on Saturday.
She was on duty at the Irish pub when she was stabbed in the neck around 6.30pm local time.
Police discovered her and an unknown man with stab wounds in their back and neck.
People who saw it happen told the New York Post that the man, who was her boyfriend, ‘walked in and stabbed her’.
