Richard Keys has slammed Pep Guardiola for his lively on-field conversation with Jack Grealish following Manchester City’s 0-0 draw with Arsenal.
Guardiola appeared frustrated on the sideline during Sunday’s game at the Etihad Stadium as his team were held to a goalless draw by a solid Gunners’ defensive performance.
The result leaves the defending champions in third place, three points behind league leaders Liverpool after their 2-1 win over Brighton earlier in the day.
At full-time, Guardiola was seen having a lengthy conversation with substitute Grealish who, like many City players, struggled to create chances against Arsenal’s strong back line.
However, the behavior has angered former Sky Sports host Keys who accused the Spaniard of playing up to the camera.
‘Save it for the dressing room. It’s all for the cameras, it is so tiresome. Go down the tunnel, he shouldn’t even be on the pitch,’ Keys said on beIN SPORTS.
‘Now he’s got to go and tell everybody else what they did wrong.’
Guardiola, meanwhile, admitted after the match that Liverpool were now favored to win the title after Klopp’s side established a two-point lead at the top of the table.
Asked if Liverpool are now clear favorites to win the league, Guardiola replied: ‘Yeah, the one who is first is favorite.
‘The second favorite is Arsenal and we are the third. It was in our hands, now it’s not. If you are top of the league – like we’ve been before – you are favorites.’
City face a quick turnaround as they prepare for the visit of Aston Villa on Wednesday.
Arsenal, meanwhile, host Luton while Liverpool take on Sheffield United at Anfield.
