The Move Forward party, which is in opposition, has started a promotional effort encouraging the public to observe the debate against the government happening this Wednesday and Thursday.
Today, the party published a preview of the censure debate on its website, raising doubts about the performance of Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin over the last seven months.
The party argues that the government has not met the expectations of the Pheu Thai party, which has a history of being able to address the economic issues of the last decade and move the country forward.
According to the party, the much-talked-about “digital wallet” plan has not been implemented, minimum wages are only being raised in certain cases, electricity prices are still going up, mandatory conscription is still in effect, and some political prisoners remain in custody.
The current questions are about who the Pheu Thai government is really serving, the entire population or the individuals involved in forming the coalition government, and whether the government, which was established against the public's desires, will prioritize the people or those who brought the party to power.
