Gabriel Jesus has cautioned Liverpool about Arsenal’s better goal difference and says that ‘anything can happen’ in the Premier League title race.
Liverpool moved to the top of the table this weekend after their 2-1 victory over Brighton together with Arsenal’s 0-0 draw with Manchester City at the Etihad.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are currently the favorites to win the Premier League trophy and have a two point lead over Arsenal, while they are three points ahead of City.
The Gunners are striving to secure their first top-flight title in 20 years and came very close last season before missing out to City in the end.
Liverpool are the only team to have ended City’s dominance in the Premier League in recent years, winning the 2019-20 title, and Jesus has a message for them.
‘It’s the Premier League, it’s a tough league and anything can happen,’ the Arsenal forward stated – with all three teams now having just nine fixtures left.
‘It's only a two-point difference [with Liverpool], and we also have a very good goal difference.
‘Every detail counts in the end, but there are still a lot of games. We also have the Champions League.
‘This is the most exciting part of the season, you give your all to win titles.’
Jesus achieved multiple Premier League titles during his five-year time at the Etihad before he moved from Manchester to Arsenal in the summer of 2022.
