Pep Guardiola thinks Liverpool are now the top pick to win the Premier League title after Man Cityfinished in a draw with Arsenal on Sunday.
Jurgen Klopp’s team had to come from behind in Sunday’s early match and won 2-1 against Brighton at Anfield with goals from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah.
Arsenal and City ended with a close tie at the Etihad Stadium.
Liverpool are now leading the Premier League by two points over Arsenal, while City, the current champions, are three points behind with a worse goal difference.
Guardiola believes that Liverpool are in the best position to win the title now.
When asked if Liverpool are now the clear top pick to win the league, Guardiola answered: ‘Yes, the team in first place is the favorite.
‘The second favorite is Arsenal and we are the third.’
When asked if he is worried that City won't have enough games to surpass Arsenal and Liverpool, Guardiola replied: ‘It’s not up to us.
‘All we can do is try to win the next game against Aston Villa. That’s all we can do.
‘When we were leading the league, we were the favorites, it was in our control and now it’s not, so it’s simple.’
