Netflix Chance Perdomo, the actor, has passed away at the age of 27.
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina The star passed away after being in a serious motorcycle crash, as confirmed by his family in a statement.
According to the statement, ‘Chance Perdomo has tragically passed away due to a motorcycle accident.’
The statement continues, ‘Those who knew him felt his passion for the arts and hunger for life.
‘His warmth will live on in the hearts of those he loved. The family asks for privacy during this difficult time.’
The family has been informed that no one else was involved in the crash.
Perdomo was best known for playing Ambrose Spellman in the Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which is based on the Archie comic books.
He also portrayed Andre Anderson in The Boys offshoot series Gen V, on Amazon Prime Video.
He also took on roles as Landon in the movies After We Fell, After Ever Happy, and After Everything, and made appearances in Midsomer Murders and Hetty Feather.
In a statement shared with Variety, the producers of Gen V said: ‘We are struggling to comprehend this. Chance was always charming and cheerful to those who knew and worked with him, an incredibly talented performer, and above all, a very kind and lovely person.’
They added, ‘Even speaking of him in the past tense feels wrong. We are deeply sorry for Chance’s family, and we are mourning the loss of our friend and colleague. Hold your loved ones close tonight.’
Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television, which produces Gen V, also expressed their sadness in a statement: ‘The entire Gen V family is heartbroken by the sudden loss of Chance Perdomo. Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television send their heartfelt thoughts and support to Chance’s family and all who loved him during this challenging time.’
Perdomo was active on social media just days ago, sharing his final post on Thursday with a series of gym selfies.
‘Haven’t started. Already exhausted. Whatever it takes, I guess,
’ he wrote.
The post has now been flooded with tributes from devastated fans, with @blockadamout writing: ‘RIP, you didn’t deserve this, miss u forever.’

Perdomo was born in Los Angeles in 1996, but later moved to Southampton, England with his mum. He had planned to study law before pursuing acting instead, and moved to London to join the National Youth Theatre.
