American Airlines is updating its policy to allow passengers to bring their pet and a full-size carry-on bag into the cabin.
Previously, passengers could only have one small item along with their pet when paying the $150 fee to bring it into the cabin.
If passengers wanted to bring a bigger item like a carry-on with wheels, they had to pay a $35 fee to check it, or put the pet in the cargo hold.
Now, passengers can bring their pet along with either a regular carry-on bag or a personal item, but not both bags.
Some pet owners found the old policy unfair since they were already paying a fee to bring their pet.
Powell stated that the Fed wants to see 'more positive inflation data' before it can lower rates
Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell reiterated that the Fed will only be ready to cut interest rates when it sees 'more positive inflation data' and becomes more confident that annual price increases are approaching the 2% target.
Powell, speaking at a conference at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, still expects inflation to reach 2% but wants further evidence before considering rate cuts for the first time since inflation peaked two years ago.
