Princess Kate is happy to receive kind wishes and support, Queen Camilla has said.
Camilla passed on the Princess of Wales’s gratitude to royal fans at a farmer’s market in Shrewsbury today.
She told the crowd: ‘I know that Catherine is thrilled by all the kind wishes and support.’
Last week Kate revealed she is undergoing preventative cancer treatment following abdominal surgery in January.
She and William were said to be touched by the outpouring of support as she continues with treatment.
Kensington Palace said: ‘The prince and princess are both enormously touched by the kind messages from people here in the UK, across the Commonwealth and around the world in response to Her Royal Highness’ message.
‘They are extremely moved by the public’s warmth and support and are grateful for the understanding of their request for privacy at this time.’
At the time, the Palace said that her operation was ‘successful’ and it is anticipated that Kate will remain in hospital for up to two weeks.
