At the Imperial War Museum airfield, a private plane went down in front of visitors.
People who saw it say that firefighters did chest compressions on a person near the crash at Duxford Airfield in Cambridgeshire just after 1.40pm yesterday.
A group of schoolchildren were at the museum and saw the crash, The Telegraph reports.
A spokesperson from IWM Duxford said: ‘The emergency services are onsite at IWM Duxford dealing with an incident involving a private aircraft.
‘We have no further information at this time.
‘IWM Duxford will be closed to visitors on Wednesday and Thursday. We plan to reopen to the public on Friday.’
Cambridge Fire and Rescue Service said: ‘Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service was called at 1.41pm to a report of a plane crash at Duxford airfield.
‘Four fire engines and a water carrier went to the incident. Crews helped other emergency services and ensured the scene was safe before leaving around 4pm.’
