A Turkish security official said on Tuesday that two of the suspects in the Moscow concert hall attack were able to travel to Russia without any restrictions as there were no arrest warrants issued against them.
Russian authorities arrested 11 people related to the attack on Crocus City Hall, where disguised gunmen entered the hall, shot at the concert-goers, and set the building on fire, resulting in the death of at least 139 people.
According to an anonymous Turkish official speaking to AFP, Tajik nationals Rachabalizoda Saidakrami and Shamsidin Fariduni were able to travel between Russia and Turkey without any hindrance due to the absence of arrest warrants against them.
Russian President Vladimir Putin admitted on Monday that last week's attack at the concert hall was carried out by “radical Islamists”, while suggesting their connection to Ukraine.
Islamic State jihadists have repeatedly claimed responsibility for the attack since Friday, and IS-related media outlets have released disturbing videos of the gunmen inside the venue.
