The Bruins signed tough prospect Riley Duran from Providence College to a two-year entry level contract valued at an average yearly salary of $867,500. He will complete the rest of this season with the Providence Bruins on an amateur tryout contract.
The 6-foot-1, 194-pound Woburn native scored 9 goals and 7 assists for a total of 16 points in 35 games for the Friars. He had 27 goals, 28 assists, and a total of 55 points in 102 collegiate games for PC.
Duran, chosen in the sixth round (182nd overall) in 2020, has performed well in the B’s Development Camps and, when competing among the top prospects globally, he performed admirably. Duran scored two goals and contributed three assists in five games at the 2022 World Junior Championships.
