Arsenal star Ben White He was reportedly vacationing in Dubai, playing Uno on the beach with his wife on the same day England suffered a 1-0 loss to Brazil at Wembley.
White does not want to be considered for the national team, according to Gareth Southgate, which has drawn criticism for the 26-year-old.
The defender has not been part of the Three Lions’ squad since departing the World Cup in Qatar mid-tournament after a reported disagreement with Steve Holland.
Instead of joining the England team for their Euro 2024 warm-up friendlies against Brazil and Belgium, White has opted to take a break.
White’s wife Milly posted a picture of the couple at Kyma Beach in Dubai on Saturday – playing the card game Uno – while England were losing to Brazil, the Daily Mail have reported.
They relaxed on chairs on the sand with a picturesque pool in front of them as White enjoyed some sun before Arsenal’s match against title rivals Manchester City.
Arsenal will play against Pep Guardiola’s team at the Etihad in a week once the international break has ended in a showdown for the top-flight trophy.
Guardiola has described the upcoming match as a ‘final’ with Premier League leaders Arsenal just one point ahead of third-placed City with 10 games left.
Liverpool are also part of the title race and currently stand second in the table – only behind Arsenal on goal difference – and one point ahead of City.
Guardiola has seemed to indicate that he views Arsenal as City’s main challengers, though, after they pushed his team all the way last term.
