Gogglebox TV personality Josh Tapper has disclosed his proposal to his long-time girlfriend Hannah.
The A 26-year-old person involved in politics, who became a part of the show in its first season in 2013, shared the news of the upcoming wedding on his Instagram Stories, reposting his friends’ congratulatory messages.
His sister Amy Tapper, 24, was very excited and announced on the social media platform that she now ‘officially’ had a sister.
In a photo of a happy Josh and Hannah showing her engagement ring, Amy expressed her happiness by saying: ‘The phone call I’ve been waiting for and the best news in the entire world.
‘My best friends are engaged. I officially have a sister.’
The former Channel 4 star added: ‘Welcome to the family Han, couldn’t wish for anyone better.’
Josh has an important political career ahead of him as well as a wedding. He has been chosen as the Labour parliamentary candidate for Hertsmere in Hertfordshire in addition to the wedding.
He has been selected as the Labour parliamentary candidate for Hertsmere in Hertfordshire and will be running against Deputy Prime Minister Oliver Dowden in in the upcoming general election.
Bookmakers have predicted that he will be successful, with William Hill revealing his odds are at 5/2.
A spokesperson from William Hill, Lee Phelps, mentioned: ‘This was a very surprising move from Labour, but Hertsmere has only ever been represented by a Conservative MP, so the decision to change their approach can only be seen as a positive.
‘Josh Tapper would be the first Labour candidate to win over the constituency and his odds of 5/2 to win the seat at the next General Election suggest that he has every chance of doing so.
Josh has been aiming for Whitehall for several years and left Gogglebox in 2018 because he had been offered a Cabinet Office job.
At the time he told The Mirror that the door had been left open for him to return, but that ‘the focus is now very much on my job.’
Josh and Amy were joined by their parents mum Nikki and dad Jonathan on Gogglebox.
They all became popular among fans for their time on the show, which lasted for five years until 2018.
