Billie Piper has made a series of wild confessions, from stealing underwear to the Spice Girls being given cigarettes when she was just 15.
The actress, 41, joined Mel B aka Scary Spice on The Jonathan Ross Show, airing on Saturday, where the pair reminisced over the first time they met whilst recording Top of the Pops.
‘I was such a huge fan so imagine being 15 in a dressing room with The Spice Girls, I used to smoke cigarettes with you guys in the dressing room, you’d give me fags,’ Billie said.
Mel interjected, ‘That would have been me and Emma [Bunton],’ as Billie added: ‘Yeah, it was you and Emma and we would sit on the floor at Top of the Pops smoking cigarettes and ashing in a plastic cup, it was heaven.’
Elsewhere, Billie spoke about stealing underwear and a whip from the set of Secret Diary of a Call Girl.
And she’s got quite a collection too, as the singer admitted to also stealing from the Tardis.
Billie started as Rose Tyler in Doctor Who between 2005 and 2006, before going on to play Belle de Jour in the ITV drama series – roles which she has memorabilia to remind her of.
‘I take things from set, I see things, I take them,’ Billie admitted.
She went on: ‘Loads of things, rings, costume jewellery, I actually have a whip and some underwear from The Secret Diary of a Call Girl.’
Talking about taking things from the Tardis, she added: ‘I took loads of stuff from the Tardis, the main central console.’
Before turning to acting, which saw Billie earn a Bafta nomination in 2021 and 2023 for her starring role in I Hate Suzie, she rose to fame with her debut single as a teenager.
When asked about her family life and what her children make of her career, two of whom she shares with Laurence Fox, Billie said: ‘My elder one couldn’t give a s**t’, which I actually like, I think that’s a healthier response.
‘I think I’ve got a fan in my youngest child, she will watch my music videos and ask to play my songs in the car and I’ll oblige.’
She went on: ‘I was 14 when I signed my record deal, the same age as my eldest son which blows my mind but he isn’t that interested which I think is fine.’
While she’s starring in new Netflix drama Scoop, following the infamous Emily Maitlis interview with Prince Andrew in 2019, her children are keen for her to take on rather different roles.

‘They have no interest in me being in Doctor Who but they will come to a convention where there’s access to real famous people, genuine stars if there is access to Stranger Things, Marvel or Lord of the Rings,’ she said.
While the mum-of-three mainly keeps her family life out of the spotlight, Billie recently spoke publicly about her long silence regarding her marriage to Fox, accusing him of being ‘very challenging’ to co-parent with.
She was wed to the controversial 45-year-old actor who is now a GB News presenter from 2007 until 2016.
At the time of their separation, the couple confirmed no other individuals were involved and that their marriage had irreparably broken down, describing the divorce as ‘terrible’. with Fox calling the divorce ‘horrifying’.
In later years, Piper avoided discussing their relationship and the controversies surrounding Fox, although she has stated to ‘understand dysfunctional relationships’.
The Jonathan Ross Show airs Saturday at 9.35pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
