A famous pop singer from the 90s Ricky Martin has made a return to TV acting in Palm Royale after a six-year break, and fans have been amazed because he seems to have turned back time.
The 52-year-old singer of Livin’ La Vida Loca plays a bartender at an exclusive resort in Palm Beach, where Kristen Wiig’s character, who is obsessed with status, is trying to get into on the Apple TV Plus drama set in the late 60s.
Also starring Laura Dern as the anti-capitalist daughter of a multimillionaire, the ten-part series has drawn comparisons to the campy gossip of Desperate Housewives and the biting social satire of The White Lotus.
After the first three episodes were released on the streamer on Wednesday, fans have been very excited about Ricky’s performance as Robert Diaz, his first TV show since The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.
