Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka were part of the group of four England players who did different practice from the main team before Saturday’s friendly game with Brazil.
The Three Lions will play against the five-time world champions Wembley this weekend, getting ready for that game at St George’s Park this week.
Kane, Saka, Cole Palmer, and Jordan Henderson were absent from the main group on Wednesday, and Sky Sports reported that the four are following 'personalized workout programs in the gym'.
England were worried about Kane’s fitness after he was substituted late in Bayern Munich’s win over Darmstadt on Saturday.
The former Tottenham player was seen holding his left ankle after hitting the post and had to leave the match with eight minutes remaining.
This raised concerns about his availability for England’s matches against Brazil and Belgium, as well as Bayern Munich’s Champions League quarter-final against Arsenal next month.
Kane, Palmer, Saka, and Henderson didn't train with their teammates, but it's not believed that they have any specific injury worries.
Saka played the full 120 minutes in Arsenal’s previous match before the international break – the Champions League last 16 tie against Porto that went to penalties.
Palmer also finished his last club game without any problems, scoring and assisting in Chelsea’s FA Cup quarter-final win over Leicester City.
There was a new player at St George’s Park as Kobbie Mainoo was added to the senior England squad on Tuesday.
The Manchester United young talent was initially not in the squad last week, with Gareth Southgate mentioning a lack of first-team appearances as the reason for his exclusion.
However, following an outstanding performance in the win over Liverpool on Sunday, Mainoo was called up two days later.
‘I got called up to the U21s, then I got a text from Steve Holland. He told me to come and meet him at reception,’ Mainoo explained.
‘He informed me that I had been called up to the main squad. I don’t think it has sunk in yet. I have [text back home] – they are all buzzing and excited’.
