A new expansion offers you the opportunity to operate the London Overground for the initial time in Train Sim World 4, and it appears very realistic.
Dovetail Games’ Train Sim World is essentially Microsoft’s Flight Simulator but for trains, with the series having gained a sizable following over the years, with numerous sequels and expansions.
The most recent installment in the series was launched back in September, to positive reviews, and it’s next stop is London, more specifically the London Overground.
A new expansion will enable you to take the controls of a Class 710 Aventra and transport commuters from north to east London.
The expansion is priced at £24.99 and allows you to journey along the route known as the Goblin route: from Gospel Oak to Barking Riverside, passing through Harringay, Tottenham, Walthamstow, and Leytonstone, while crossing over and under other London railway lines.
‘It’s a pleasure to introduce our initial simulation of the London Overground to Train Sim World, enabling players to encounter operating in the bustling capital with the very latest trains that Transport For London are currently using,’ commented Dovetail executive producer, Matt Peddlesden.
This is not the first London-focused content in the game, as other routes and trains accessible through various expansions include the London Underground Bakerloo Line and the Thameslink Class 700 train.
The route was recently renamed as the London Overground Suffragette line, in an effort to simplify route names throughout London, and to commemorate the 20th century suffragette movement and its contribution to women’s rights.
The expansion is now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Epic Games Store, and Steam.
