Louis Walsh has spent some of his time in the Celebrity Big Brother discussing celebrities in the outside world, and Cheryl is his most recent target.
After previously calling Bob Geldof ‘full of s**t’, and starting a war of words with Jedward Louis has now discussed his former The X Factor colleague.
Louis, 71, explained to their fellow housemate Zeze Millz, and David Potts about the rivalry on the show and referred to Cheryl, 40, as ‘smug’.
He recounted a specific incident when Simon Cowell helped her win the 2008 series of The X Factor with contestant Alexandra Burke.
‘We took it so f*****g serious, and we all wanted to win. We were pretending it was about the show, we all wanted to win and we were all trying to upstage each other with songs and performance,’ she told the pair while sitting in the garden.
‘Cheryl was, she was kinda smug with me, I wanted to beat her as well.’
He recalled JLS, who sang with Westlife, not standing a chance after Simon managed to book Beyoncé for a duet.
However, he added that there’s no bad blood between them.
‘She’s not perfect, but she’s nice. She’s had a lot of negativity but I like her. She doesn’t know that. I like her more than she likes me,’ he stated.
Despite his compliments, one viewer joked she could join Jedward and their friend Gemma Collins in their videos criticizing Louis for his comments.
‘Cheryl’s about to be seen fuming in a hot tub with Gemma Collins and Jedward,’ remarked viewer Harrison.
Lisa added: ‘Cheryl Cole now… no one is safe in this season of #CBBUK except Sinitta of course!’
Louis has known Cheryl for many years. He briefly managed Girls Aloud for two years, after they competed on Popstars: The Rivals which aired in 2002.
It’s not the first time he’s made a quip about Cheryl. He previously poked fun at her singing abilities when asked if she could return as a judge on X Factor.
Instead, he downgraded her to a contestant and said: ‘You mean as a contestant? She would be good. She could even win it. Cheryl doesn’t mime. It’s called lip-syncing.’ Shady!
Later in the episode Zeze and Marisha Wallace were removed from the house in a double eviction, and a surprise twist was revealed.
Celebrity Big Brother airs at 9pm on ITV1.
