Louis Walsh has once again targeted a music artist while discussing Celebrity Big Brother.
The former X Factor a 71-year-old judge appearing on the show has faced criticism for continuously being critical of performers he has collaborated with.
He began by insulting his former act Jedward ‘vile’, calling Ronan Keating a ‘p***k’ and stating that former Take That member Jason Orange ‘just did a bit of dancing’, and now he's made more harsh comments.
On Monday’s Late and Live, Louis is set to share his thoughts on AJ Odudu and Will Best, and he also plans to speak his mind about Sir Bob Geldof.
During Tuesday night’s episode, the contestants will discuss popular songs from different decades.
Discussing one song, actor Colson Smith, 25, asks: ‘Did Bob Geldof write it?’
But Louis responds with a dismissive ‘pfft’.
Trying to get the answer from Louis, Marisha Wallace, 38, then asks: ‘Did Prince write it?’
Agreeing that Prince wrote numerous songs, Louis simply replies: ‘Yes he did’.
Seeing that Louis was unimpressed, Zeze Millz then asks: ‘I assume you're not a Bob Geldof fan, Louis?’
Louis, still in his dressing gown, then makes a critical comment.
‘Well, I think he’s dishonest,’ he starts.
‘He’s from Dublin. I know some things. The Boomtown Rats were good.’
Despite Marisha apologizing in case Sir Bob was watching, Louis then interjects: ‘I don’t care’.
In a statement to Metro.co.uk, Sir Bob’s agent and manager Mark Cowne said he was ‘very surprised by Louis very negative comments’.
‘This is a big year for Bob and Band Aid as we acknowledge the 40th anniversary of the Band Aid single which started the drive to save 32 million people from starvation in the Ethiopian famine.
‘The price of a life that Christmas was a 7” piece of plastic.
‘Bob has continued this mission for 40 years and made dramatic changes to an entire continent.’
He added: ‘But, Louis is free to have an opinion. 1.6 billion people agreed with and followed Bob. I guess Louis Walsh wasn’t with them.’
After he first started criticizing fellow figures in the music industry last week, many viewers called for him to be removed from Celebrity Big Brother.
One called him a ‘nasty old man’ while another said his behavior and comments were ‘vile’.
Metro.co.uk has contacted representatives for Sir Bob Geldof for comment.
Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1.
