British actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson will not be taking on the part of James Bond from Daniel Craig, according to what Metro.co.uk knows.
It had been said that the 33-year-old Kick Ass actor had received a formal offer to play 007 and was expected to agree to the contract later this week.
Now, however, Metro.co.uk it is understood that Aaron has not been selected for the iconic role.
A production insider also dismissed the rumors today and told the BBC there was 'no truth' to claims Aaron was joining the franchise.
On Monday, it was reported that Aaron had been officially chosen as the next 007 by Eon Productions, the company behind the films, and would be taking on the important job in the 'coming days.'
The source also stated that, once the contract was signed, filming for the next spy movie would start later this year.
They told The Sun: 'Bond is Aaron’s job, if he wants it. The formal offer is on the table and they are waiting for a response.
'From Eon's perspective, Aaron is expected to sign his contract soon and they can start getting ready for the big announcement.'
