WWE legend Bray Wyatt will be seen without his usual character for the first time in a new preview that came out nearly seven months after he passed away.
The former wrestling icon, who sadly died at 36 years old in August 2023, will be celebrated in a brand new Peacock documentary examining his amazing career and life beyond the wrestling ring.
Unfortunately, fans in the UK won't be able to watch the film right away, as it will initially only be available on Peacock starting from April 1, and not on the WWE Network.
The synopsis says: 'Bray Wyatt is one of the most respected and mysterious figures in WWE history. The backstory of that character and the person behind it, Windham Rotunda, has never been documented until now.
‘Utilizing never-before-seen interviews and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, Windham Rotunda’s inspiring story unfolds.
‘This documentary explores Windham’s remarkable journey to worldwide fame as a WWE Superstar, and the challenges and triumphs that accompanied being a creative visionary.
‘Unfortunately, in August of 2023, Windham passed away at the age of 36. Following his untimely death, Windham leaves behind a grieving family as they celebrate an enduring legacy that continues to generate and motivate.'
Real name Windham Rotunda, the former world champion was famously mysterious and candid in private, maintaining the incredible air of mystery surrounding his character.
This documentary will delve into the person behind those characters for the first time, including interviews with Windham himself, plus ‘never-before-seen footage from the WWE archives’.
It will also feature interviews with those who knew him, including his family, his brother Bo Dallas, and prominent figures like John Cena, Triple H and Becky Lynch.
In a post on X to announce the documentary, WWE boss Triple H – real name Paul Levesque – paid tribute to the late star.
He wrote: ‘Windham Rotunda had an exceptional mind. There was no barrier he wouldn’t surpass in the name of storytelling. You had no option but to believe in him. He was simply that talented. It’s time for his story to be the one that’s told.’
