Andre Onana felt 'excited' after Manchester United defeated Liverpool on Sunday while Marcus Rashford admitted something significant after the FA Cup win.
The Red Devils won against their rivals 4-3 after extra time, with Amad Diallo scoring the winning goal in the 121st minute at Old Trafford, leading to jubilant celebrations.
If not for Diallo’s late goal, Onana would have faced a penalty shootout, and the United goalkeeper was thrilled after the game.
'Excited,' the Cameroon international posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
'What a lively atmosphere at Old Trafford yesterday. A day to remember.'
In the meantime, Rashford, who scored in the 4-3 win, confessed after the match that he has not had the season he desired with the Englishman facing plenty of criticism over his performances this term.
'Listen to the noise, you can tell what a big game it is, a huge occasion,' Rashford told ITV. 'I haven’t had the season I wanted but nights like this at Old Trafford are what it’s all about.
'I had to score that chance at the end, I wish it was done half an hour ago but we got the job done and we have to get something out of this season.
'Today represents what it always has to me, it’s a massive game in the history of Manchester United. It gets us through to a semi-final but even a normal game against Liverpool we have to win.
'Amad Diallo has been working hard, he hasn’t had the opportunities he wants and there’s no better way to push for more than nights like this.'
