Former President Barack Obama has been seen at Downing Street, where he is anticipated to have a one-on-one discussion with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
The previous head of state was seen greeting reporters before entering No.10.
The Prime Minister’s official spokesperson said: ‘Obama was making an informal visit as part of his trip to London, where he is carrying out work for the Obama Foundation.
‘I believe President Obama’s team reached out and obviously the Prime Minister was very pleased to meet with him and talk about the work of the Obama Foundation.’
Obama held office for two terms in the White House, from 2009 to 2017, before he was succeeded by Trump.
He last visited Downing Street in 2016, when he met with then Prime Minister David Cameron ahead of a Brexit vote.
When leaving Downing Street, Obama responded ‘I’m tempted’ when questioned by the media, before getting into a car with Jane D Hartley, the US ambassador to the UK.
