UPPER MERION — The 2024 Irish Coffee Contest hosted by the Montgomery County Saint Patrick’s Parade Committee was another successful event for Saint Patrick’s Day. Nine participants vied for the title of the best Irish Coffee in Montgomery County. VFW 1074 claimed the top spot for the best presentation and the best Irish Coffee. The Elmwood Zoo placed 2nd, while the Bridgeport Ribhouse took 3rd. The parade committee extended their gratitude to all the participants in this enjoyable prelude to the Saint Patrick’s parade in Conshohocken.
Grand Marshal Sean Cullen will lead the Saint Patrick’s Parade in Conshohocken on March 16th, commencing at 2 p.m. on Fayette Street. The parade will showcase seven bands, four Irish Dance Schools, and floats representing various local organizations and groups.
The Montgomery County Saint Patrick’s Parade Committee mainly consists of members from the Ancient Order of Hibernian, Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, and Social Members of the AOH, who are delighted to coordinate this annual community event in Conshohocken. The parade committee expresses its appreciation to the Conshohocken officials for their support of this event. Additionally, they extend a massive thanks to all the sponsors for their contributions to this significant event in Montgomery County. With the parade themed “Irish Hearts in America,” March 16th will be a fantastic day for the Irish.
