An Asda A delivery van has been seen in a Yorkshire field and it has left people puzzled.
The Mercedes van was photographed in a field surrounded by stone walls in Langcliffe, North Yorkshire, yesterday and appears to have been left there.
Social media users have been wondering how the vehicle got there, especially as there seems to be no easy way to the spot, which is surrounded by more fields.
Several people joked that the driver was probably let down by their sat nav.
The van appears to be stuck in a rut, with the front right tyre sunk into the earth.
The picture was shared on social media with the caption: ‘When Adrian Mole gets an Asda home delivery.’
Ben Smith commented: ‘Going the extra mile, I salute you driver.’
Michael Uren joked: ‘I think he was getting fresh lamb.’
Clive Davies said: ‘But the Sat Nav said.’
Lee James added: ‘That’ll cost more than your Asda price for a tow out.’
Julie Duncan wrote: ‘Did this enter the field via parachute.’
Asda has been contacted for comment.
Meanwhile, in Blackpool, Lancashire, residents ridiculed two motorists whose cars were battered by waves after they got stuck on the beach.
Pictures showed the mangled remains of a convertible Peugeot 206 and a Vauxhall Corsa, which were completely wrecked.
