Model and actress Cara Delevingne’s $7,000,000 Los Angeles residence was severely damaged in a potentially deadly fire, resulting in at least one person getting hurt.
Firefighters were called to the scene on Friday in the early hours of the morning to deal with the fire, which is believed to have started in the back room of the Studio City, California, property.
Cara, 35, is currently living in the UK for her role in West End show Cabaret as Sally Bowles, so she wasn't there when the fire started at the 8,000-square-foot mansion.
A total of 94 firefighters in 13 different engines arrived to handle the dramatic fire that spread to the attic, causing the roof to collapse.
A 911 call was made around 3:57am PST, according to TMZ, and it took two hours to bring the flames under control.
It is not known who has been injured but it’s reported that one person staying at Cara’s residence was treated for smoke inhalation.
Others are thought to have been injured at the scene, with one firefighter falling from a ladder in the frenzy.
The model previously owned another Hollywood home, having purchased with her sister Poppy Delevingne from actor Jared Leto.
She sold to singer Usher for $3.4million in September 2022 and divides her time between the US and UK.
Interior design enthusiasts, the pair had decorated this previous mansion with a jungle theme filled with luscious green plants and decorations, which she revealed to Architectural Digest.
The home even had secret tunnels, which she called the ‘vagina tunnel’, leading between rooms and features like a playroom and ball pit.
Speaking about what home meant to her, she told the magazine: ‘My work requires me to put on many different hats and costumes. I love slipping into these various characters, so I wanted my home to reflect lots of different themes and moods.’
