There was a fire on HTMS Khirirat around midday today while it was docking in Laem Thian, Sattahip district, Chonburi province.
First reports indicated that three Navy officers got hurt, and the fire was the result of a firearm from HTMS Chonburi, which was docked nearby, being accidentally discharged.
The ship, which has been in service with the Royal Thai Navy for more than 40 years, belongs to the 1st Frigate Fleet, Fleet Operations Command.
