In this economy, it’s a waste not to take advantage of all your assets. Just ask Karrueche Tran, who responded to critics of her latest business venture – a OnlyFans page dedicated to her feet.
The actress, 35, known for her TV roles in shows like Claws and The Bay, posted a link to the account earlier this week alongside a photo of her foot in a high heel, sparking plenty of jibes from fans.
Many joked that if someone with as much fame as Tran, who won a daytime Emmy for her work on The Bay, has resorted to OnlyFans, then things must really be financially dire for the rest of us.
One fan wrote on X, ‘The economy hitting crazy when Karrueche has to sell feet’ while another chimed in: ‘Another Recession indicator just dropped.’
Another blamed inflation, too, writing, ‘Inflation got you too huh?’
In a now-deleted post, Tran dismissed implications that she was financially struggling, calling the account a ‘smart play’.
‘LOL at all the comments regarding OF. I’m not going broke.. just a smart play,’ she wrote.
‘Foot fetish is the number one fetish in the world. There’s nothing sexual that will be on my page. It’s literally feet and if people are willing to pay, then what’s the problem.’
But the page has some pretty steep prices for someone not in it for the money. Access to pictures of Tran’s feet will cost interested fans about three times the amount of a Netflix account, $24.99 (£19.57) monthly.
But interested parties don’t need to worry about breaking the bank. Like any good businesswoman, Tran offers special discounts: $52.48 (£41.09) for a three-month subscription or a very reasonable $104.96 (£82.19) for six months.
Tran also tweeted that she would be donating a portion of her OnlyFans earnings to Los Angeles-based charities, Page Six reported.
Tran, who first reached the attention of many people because of her on-again-off-again relationship with singer Chris Brown, which made headlines in the wake of his assault on singer Rihanna, also got pushback for her claim that foot fetishes somehow aren’t sexual.
Many people felt the need to point out that the OnlyFans account is still sex work, no matter how Tran qualifies it.
One X user wrote: ‘But that’s sex work…nothing wrong with it. Just call it what it is.’ Another agreed, writing, ‘Damn. Not Karrueche. Anyway, if you’re leading with wanting others to feel lusty when consuming your “content,” just own up that you’re participating in sex work.’
Say what you want about Tran’s new side hustle, but with a five-star score on WikiFeet how could she not make her aesthetic feet work for their shoes?
