Paris Saint-Germain are getting ready to make a £75 million bid to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United this summer, as per reports.
PSG is looking to sign a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who is leaving the club at the end of the season and is expected to join Real Madrid.
Rashford has struggled for form for United this season, scoring only seven goals in the Premier League so far.
However, the Mirror reports show that PSG is still interested in signing Rashford and will test United with a £75m offer in the summer transfer window.
The report claims that United value Rashford closer to £100m but could be tempted by PSG’s proposal.
Rashford still has over four years remaining on his current contract with United which is worth £350,000-a-week.
The England international has faced criticism over his performances this season, while he was privately reprimanded by Ten Hag in January after visiting a nightclub and missing a training session the next morning.
In regards to Rashford’s situation at United before the team’s 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday, Wayne Rooney encouraged the forward to improve his form and his body language on the pitch..
Asked if had sympathy for Rashford at United, Rooney said: ‘Not much, to be honest.
‘He’s in a privileged position where he is playing for Man United.
‘He is the one player that I believe can get my goalscoring record. I hope he does but he needs to hit consistency. He is not having the best of seasons, so he needs to find some form and become a leader.
‘I don’t think he’s that type of player, a leader. His body language doesn’t sometimes look the best.
‘Players such as [Raphael] Varane and Bruno [Fernandes] should be getting that out of Marcus.’
