KSI was left laid out in the middle of a WWE ring after revealing a major new deal for their Prime energy drink.
The social media star and his business partner Logan Paul, who is making serious waves in the wrestling world as the current United States Champion, have made a first of its kind sponsorship deal starting at WrestleMania 40.
Every premium live event from now on will see the Prime logo in the ring, as WWE has agreed to a branding deal for the canvas for the first time in its history.
However, the big reveal didn’t quite go as planned on SmackDown, as poor KSI got rocked by an RKO from legendary pro wrestler Randy Orton, landing right on the Prime bottle design on the mat.
After the deal was announced, the official Prime account tweeted photos, including KSI getting laid out, and then sat backstage wearing a neck brace.
‘WWE is in its PRIME,’ the account teased, but KSI quickly replied: ‘But at what cost…’
He added: ‘Why am I always just getting beat up on WWE?’
The record-setting partnership between Prime and WWE sees the beverage become the ‘official hydration drink partner’, as well as the ‘first partner to ever appear on the centre of the WWE ring’.
The deal promises ‘unprecedented exposure and integration within key WWE assets’, including events like WrestleMania, Money In The Bank, Survivor Series and more.
As well as match sponsorships, the agreement includes ‘co-presenter designations at future PLEs, product activations at live events, social support from WWE Superstars across retail and digital activations, and more’.
‘What Logan and his team have built in a short time is phenomenal and we’re excited to help showcase PRIME Hydration across our biggest events,’ said WWE’s chief content officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque.
Logan added: ‘Combining two of my greatest achievements into one knockout partnership is a dream come true.
‘We’ve worked incredibly hard at PRIME to build a brand that disrupts the beverage industry and it’s time to join forces with the global leader in sports entertainment.
‘Thank you to everyone on both sides who have played an important role in bringing PRIME Hydration to the ring.’
When it comes to the ring, Logan is expected to be back in action at WrestleMania 40 next month in Philadelphia, where he is expected to be defending his United States Title.
On SmackDown, he came to blows with both Randy Orton and Kevin Owens, suggesting a Triple Threat could be on the cards.
While a tag match would be sure to grab headlines, KSI has previously insisted his WWE career will likely be limited to occasional appearances, just like during last year’s WrestleMania when he was slammed through a table.
In addition to Logan's participation, this year’s grand stadium event will also feature Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson's first wrestling match in nearly ten years as he teams up with his cousin Roman Reigns to face off against Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.
WWE WrestleMania 40 will be held at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on April 6 and 7. Watch it on the WWE Network.
