Wegmans Food Market is getting ready to open a new store in Yardley. The store is 88,000 square feet, and it will be the 19th in Pennsylvania and 111th on the east coast.
The new store will open at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20th at 925 Vansant Drive in the Prickett Preserve shopping center in Lower Makefield Township.
Bill Platt, store manager, is putting the finishing touches on the new Yardley store and is eager to open the doors and greet the new customers with his team of 415 employees.
Platt expressed his approval of the new venue by giving it a two-thumbs-up rating.
Platt mentioned that they have already connected with the community and are excited to bring the Wegmans experience to a new area in Bucks County.
Platt highlighted that the store will offer traditional Wegmans departments like restaurant foods, a wide selection of fruits and vegetables, seafood, meat, bakery, deli, and cheese options.
The store will also have 1,200 wines and 500 kinds of domestic, craft, and imported beers and hard ciders.
The store managers have been building community contacts and recently donated $10,000 to the Bucks County Opportunity Council to support their mission of reducing poverty and promoting economic self-sufficiency.
The aim of the donation is to help the Council in its efforts and reflects Wegmans' character as an industry leader and innovator.
