Sharon Osbourne is definitely making her large fee for Celebrity Big Brother according to fans, as Friday night’s eviction episode saw the reality TV queen reveal more showbiz gossip.
Mrs O has never been one to hold back, but she issued a fair few criticisms last night, including towards Simon Cowell.
Another surprising, yet funny, story from the former TV judge came when she divulged she once sold her house to Christina Aguilera – but with a secret.
And in an exclusive clip on spin-off show Late & Live, Sharon, 71, told Colson Smith and Levi Roots that her old house in Beverly Hills used to have water cannons on both sides of the steps.
This made it easier to spray tour buses when they drove past.
‘We had water cannons on both sides of the steps and when we looked on the cameras and we saw it was the buses they would go like this,’ Sharon recalled as she gestured to water spurting out.
‘But, it made more people come as they wanted to get wet,’ Sharon added, to which Colson laughed: ‘You became a tourist attraction!’
Once her house had been snapped up by Christina, Sharon decided not to tell her about the feature.
She added: ‘I sold to Christina Aguilera. I didn’t tell her about the tour buses.’
This wasn’t the only revelation in the highlights episode.
The former X Factor judge is reportedly raking in an eye-watering sum during her limited stay in the house alongside the likes of Louis Walsh, Fern Britton, and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.
However, she’s immune to being evicted due to her five-day visit as a ‘house guest’, which ends this weekend – but viewers are desperate for her to stay and reveal more gossip.
She’s already hit out at some Hollywood A-listers, having come to know them after moving out to America, as well as claiming she’s unemployable across the pond.
But now, Sharon has seemingly shown she’s fine burning bridges with Simon – alongside Louis – after the pair started criticizing the talent shows they both worked on as judges, which he created.
Music manager Sharon, who is credited with reviving her Black Sabbath star husband Ozzy Osbourne’s heavy metal career, worked for the 64-year-old TV and music mogul during stints on both The X Factor and America’s Got Talent between 2004 and 2017.
Westlife manager Louis took off one year on The X Factor between 2004 and 2017, while he also judged on Ireland’s Got Talent in 2018 and 2019.
Lounging in the bedroom together Louis asked Sharon is she’d return to either show and she said she wouldn’t, ‘not [for] all the money in the world’.
The pair also discussed how Simon ‘cuts you off’ as Sharon alleged he didn’t ‘know how to keep friends’.
Talk then turned to The Masked Singer, with Sharon claiming she had been asked to the first US series in 2019 but had to turn it down due to being contracted for The X Factor – before being dropped – and that’s why she was ‘so f***ing mad with Simon’.
‘I missed a big gig,’ she said angrily.
‘I got really angry when they told me. And then he called me. He was trying to persuade me.’
Sharon and Louis then criticized Simon’s unchanging fashion sense over ‘probably three decades’ as well as common phrases on the talent shows like ‘do you have another song?’, ‘I didn’t like it, I loved it’ and ‘Tell me your story’.
‘So Sharon Osbourne is very angry with Simon Cowell and dislikes how he dresses?? Sharon is the best TV we’ve had in YEARS,’ tweeted Rhys Christian.
‘All this series of #cbb has taught me is that Louis Walsh & Sharon Osbourne need to be on Gogglebox,’ commented Mick Cooper.
‘You gotta love Sharon Osbourne for not caring at all in revealing the T,’ observed Traylor Holmes.
‘I could listen to Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh b****ing about celebs all day long. This is fantastic. Get them a podcast,’ Nick Reilly enthused, while fan Connie posted simply to thank her for going on the show and Becs shared that she needed ‘a good b***h + gossip session with Sharon Osbourne ASAP’.
‘Dear British TV, Sharon Osbourne needs her own talk show and her first guest must be Anna Wintour,’ quipped Maria Rosamojo, referencing one of Sharon’s earlier targets from Celebrity Big Brother.
In a suggestion sure to divide viewers, David asked: ‘Why doesn’t ITV axe Borethenation Street so they can fund another two weeks of Sharon Osbourne?’
‘I truly thought Sharon Osbourne was an icon back in the day, and the few bits of #CBBUK I’ve seen are confirming that she still is,’ announced Jess.
Friday’s episode also brought the first eviction of the series, with viewers voting to send Gary home after just five days in the house.
After causing a lot of controversy, and facing boos from the live audience, the 58-year-old might have been the first housemate kicked out, but he still insisted he had had ‘the best time’.
He had been nominated by Sharon, who labelled him ‘oddball’ and called out his ‘insecurities’.
Responding to those comments, Gary shared: ‘I was agreeing with absolutely everything she said.’
‘I don’t consider myself to be a celebrity,’ he added, saying the reality stint was ‘just an opportunity to be in that environment’.
Metro.co.uk has contacted a rep for Simon Cowell and Syco Entertainment for comment.
Celebrity Big Brother continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
