The New York Times published an extremely interesting infograph (click it to make it big) regarding the consumption of meat throughout the last century. It also pinpoints some potentially important moments in “meat history”, such as the opening of the first McDonalds or KFC store. An interesting fact is the constant drop of egg consumption in the last 50 years and the huge increase of beef consumption, approximately at the same time.
Chicken is also growing constantly and probably will continue to grow, and pork, fish and turkey remain pretty much constant.
